EVENT REVIEWS
The average grade for this event was an "A"
1. This is my second singles event I have attended in Kansas City and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. The most recent singles event was filled with fun and lots of activities. I really enjoyed the limo ride all day Saturday. It added a special touch for the Sabbath. The Chronicles of Narnia exhibit was very fascinating. Something that I would not have seen otherwise. Ruben always makes sure that our weekends are filled with lots of variety. He puts a lot of time and energy into them and it shows. I would definitely recommend these singles events. I have met a lot of great people, both male and female that I am glad to have gotten to know. Kudos!

2. I liked the size of this event best. I actually felt like I could get to know (all of the) people more than at some past events. The relatively laid-back pace was good too. After all, it's not really about doing things but about spending time with one another, and anything that is conducive to that is great--I'd be happy just playing games and eating food most of the time (but for someone who'd never been to KC or wherever a given event is held, there's likely a desire to do at least one touristy thing). The dining choices were fantastic. The social room worked well. The limo, while interesting, was a bit difficult to maneuver around in and kind of stuck us all in similar (and mostly segregated) seating patterns for a good, long while--it was fun but, I thought, probably the least successful portion of the weekend.

3. I was a little apprehensive at first, but a few singles from my area said we would all go together, but when they backed out I was really reluctant then, but decided to go ahead and take the leap. I am glad I did, it's nice to get together with singles of like mind who are going through the same thing which is being "single". It was a great atmosphere where I was able to speak to everybody 1 on 1 and learned how they discovered the truth and their calling. So overall it was nice.

4. Overall, I enjoyed the weekend very much. There were a variety of activities, so everyone could find something that appealed to them. A well organized and very affordable event. The bible study was a necessary element to the event. Although I’m sure many of the singles in the church experience loneliness at times, it is important to be reminded of our first priority and the need for patience as we seek to make one of life’s most important decisions.
I tend to have a “the-more-the-merrier” philosophy, so I enjoy larger groups. With under 20 participants, this group was a little small, but was appropriately sized for some of the activities, such as the limo ride, games, etc.
Trezo Mare was an awesome restaurant…great food and beautiful ambiance.
Very fun weekend.

5. I thought the event was great. It was well planned with just the right amount of activities. We definitely had plenty of good food. The acdomodations were affordable and Kansas City is a good central location especially for those that flew to the event. The limo ride put a special touch on the event and will cause most of us to remember it for a long time to come.

6. I really enjoyed this event, perhaps even more than any other of our KC weekends. I think what set this event apart was the smaller size of the group. I had always thought that the bigger the group, the more successful it would be. But this 2009 event proved that wrong. Also having it set up to have an even split of men and women made things more balanced. I'm so pleased that we were able to have a nice group of 16 singles that were able to get along well and interact in a respectful and positive attitude.
Aside from a few snags with the limo driver not having all the directions to some of our destinations and one of our singles getting sick on the first ride, everything else seemed to run fairly smoothly.
It seemed like we were eating all the time but the food was really good! Since the 4th of July falls on the weekend again in 2010, we will probably be having this event again. We'll see if we can make next years event even better!

7. The weekend was very enjoyable and, of course, the best part is making friends and building relationships. Thanks, Ruben, for the time and effort you put into this to make it such an enjoyable and succssful event for the rest of us.
